Alan Pauls (Buenos Aires, 1959) is a writer, journalist, screenwriter and literary critic. He has published novels and essays such as El último (The Past) —Herralde Novel Prize winner 2003— and Manuel Puig. La traición de Rita Hayworth; and has developed fictions for film, such as La era del ñandú (The Age of the Rhea), by Carlos Sorín. He was editor-in-chief of the magazine Página/30.
