Alberto Angela was born in Paris in 1962. Graduated in Natural Sciences, after a long activity of excavations and research in Africa and Asia, he is devoted full-time to dissemination. He is the creator of the Superquark and Quark Speciale series. For years he has presented the Italian television shows Passaggio to Nord Ovest and Ulisse, il piacere della scoperta.

He has written Musei (e mostre) a misura d'uomo and several books in collaboration with his father, Piero Angela, among which are Squali, Viaggio nel Cosmo, The Extraordinary Story of Life: A Great Adventure to the Origins of Our Planet and The Extraordinary History of Man. In this editorial he has published with great success A Day in Ancient Rome.
