Alberto Melucci (Rimini, November 27, 1943 – Rimini, September 12, 2001) was an Italian sociologist.
Alberto Melucci was a regular professor of Sociology of Cultural Processes at the University of Milan, where he was also a professor at the College specializing in clinical psychology. He was also a psychotherapist and a poet.
His theoretical contributions on collective action and social conflict, as well as his studies on new social movements, place him as a global benchmark.
