Alejandro Arturo Vallega is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oregon. His chair focuses on Latin American liberation thought and decolonial thought in its tasks of transforming philosophical, epistemic and academic thought from a liberatory and decolonial aisthetic turn. His work unfolds in the liminal spaces between indigenous and popular Latin American thought and contemporary Western thought, particularly in relation to hermeneutics, deconstruction and ancient Greek philosophy. His works include Latin American Philosophy from Identity to Radical Exteriority and Heidegger and the Issue of Space, Thinking on Exilic Grounds. ), both, works that think about Modernity from exclusion, exile and plural origins.
