Alexander Batthyány (1971) is the director of the Viktor Frankl Institute in Vienna, teaching Theoretical Foundations of Cognitive Sciences at the University of Vienna. He holds the Viktor Frankl Chair in Philosophy and Psychology in Liechtenstein and has been a guest professor of existential psychology in Moscow since 2011. He is director of the research institute of theoretical psychology and personalistic studies at the Universidad Pázmány in Budapest. Batthyány is the author and editor of numerous specialized publications that have been translated into more than ten languages. In Austria he is a frequent speaker in his area and as a regular guest abroad. He lives with his family in Vienna.
