Alexander Lernet-Holenia

Alexander Lernet-Holenia, born Alexander Marie Norbert Lernet (Vienna, October 21, 1897 - July 3, 1976), was one of the most renowned Austrian writers, playwrights, and poets of his time. His prolific work was composed of anthologies of poetry, plays, novels, autobiographical stories, and film scripts. Of aristocratic origin, Lernet-Holenia was a friend of the also playwright Ödön von Horváth. He also used the pseudonym Clemens Neydisser and G. T. Dampierre on several occasions.
