Alexandre Postel

Alexandre Postel (Colombes, 1982). French novelist. He has been a student of the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon and has been educated in two cultures: the French on the father's side and the English on the part of his mother. He is currently a professor of Literature at the University of Paris. A homme effacé is his first work and with it he has won the prestigious 2013 Goncourt Prize for the best first novel for "the glacial style, impregnated with a distant humor, which avoids all compassion and sentimentality, reflecting very effectively the frightening loneliness of the character" This novel has also received the Landerneau 2013 award.
