Amos Oz

AMOS OZ (Jerusalem, 1939-Tel Aviv, 2018) was one of the most reputable authors of the Israeli narrative, as well as a renowned intellectual committed to the Middle East peace process. He has been awarded the most prestigious honors and distinctions, including the Prince of Asturias Award for Letters, the French Legion of Honor, the Goethe Prize, the Franz Kafka or the Israel Prize. His work, translated into 42 languages, consists of more than twenty titles, including novels, short stories, essays and children's books. He spent much of his life on the kibbutz of Hulda and later in Arad in the Negev region, then he lived in Tel Aviv with his wife.
