Professor of Contemporary History at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and member of the Institute of Historical Research of the same institution. He has a PhD in History from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Between 2008 and 2012, he was a reader of Catalan language and culture at Harvard University.
