Born in Burgos (1953), a PhD in Philosophy and Professor of Theory of Literature at the Complutense University of Madrid. He is the author of the following books of poems: Another Heart (1983) The dried leaves (1985), Conversation in June (1992), What my eyes have seen (1993), Something to Live For (1998) and Rio eternal (2006), and novel Taking Lives (2002). His translations of English poets are collected in two volumes: English Lyric (1987) essential anthology of English poetry (2000). It has also prepared anthologies of Spanish poets as Luis Cernuda (2002), Claudio Rodríguez (1992, 2004) and Francisco Brines (2006).
