Ann Bowen is a professional calligrapher and typographer and works designing graphic material for design agencies, publishers, film companies and commissions of individuals (such as Sir Paul McCartney and the Irish Guard). She has collaborated in a book on the technique of dorado and is very involved in countless exhibitions and workshops held throughout England and also teaches calligraphy on the outskirts of London. Ann is a full member of the Society of Typographic Designers, the Surrey Guild of Craftsmen and the Letter Exchange. The Painter Stainers Livery Company awarded him the title of honor of Freeman and in 1996 he received the Calligraphy Award granted by Scrivener.
