He was born in Úbeda, province of Jaén (Spain) on July 15, 1952. He holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Barcelona on March 17, 1979 and a PhD in Biology from the same University of Barcelona on July 10, 1990. scientific: Until his retirement in 2012 he was Professor of Biology and Head of the Seminar of Experimental Sciences of the Blanxart Research Institute in Barcelona. He has been part of numerous academic tribunals set up to judge doctoral theses and received recognition from the Autonomous University of Honduras for his contribution to education in that country; of the Autonomous University of Yucatan (Mexico) for its contribution on Genome and human cloning and of the Mariano Gálvez University of Guatemala for various interventions. He has published numerous articles in Spanish and European scientific journals specialized in biology and zoology; as well as articles on science topics in various newspapers and general magazines. He has taken part in multiple debates on radio and TV programs and participated in numerous Scientific Congresses in Spain and abroad. He has given Seminars, Conferences and Master Classes in the: «Central University of Quito», Ecuador (1998); Mariano Gálvez University, Guatemala (1999 and 2001); «Pedro Henríquez Ureña National University» Dominican Republic (2000); «National Evangelical University», Dominican Republic (2000); «University of Panama» Panama (2000); National Pedagogical University Francisco Morazán, Honduras (2000); «National University of San Carlos», Guatemala (2001); «Galileo University», Guatemala (2001). In 1999, he was invited by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Paraguay to give a seminar at the "Higher Institute of Education" and in 2001 he gave a conference at the Congress of Deputies of Guatemala on the legal challenges of bioethics. As a theologian: He is a pastor-collaborator of the Evangelical United Church of Terrassa (Barcelona) Spain and Professor at the Center for Theological Studies in Barcelona. Speaker at the «VI Spanish Evangelical Congress» and Coordinator on bioethics issues of «Congrés Protestant de Catalunya». He has lectured and preached in hundreds of churches and religious institutions in Spain, the United States and throughout Latin America. He was invited to participate in the Interconfessional Seminar on the Christian Perspective of Human Cloning at the Faculty of Theology of Barcelona. He is a collaborator of FLET Latin American Faculty of Theological Studies in the area of Masters, with which he has participated in several Seminars in Miami and Venezuela and author of numerous Christian books published by CLIE and other publishers.
