Antonio J. Durán is Professor of Mathematical Analysis at the University of Seville. Among his scientific and informative works are editions of Archimedes, Newton and Euler, the collective volume Science and Don Quixote (Criticism, 2005), Life of Numbers (Award for the Best Edited Book of Popularization of 2006), Pasiones, piojos, gods ... and mathematics (Destiny, 2009), Shiva's eye, Muhammad's dream, Sinbad ... and numbers (Destiny, 2012), The universe about us (Criticism, 2015) and Mathematical Chronicles (Criticism, 2018). As a fiction writer, he has published the novels La luna de nisán (Debate, 2002) and La piel del oblivido (Martínez Roca, 2007).
