António Marujo

António Marujo (Águeda, Portugal, 1961) is a journalist specializing in religious matters. He has a degree in social communication from the University of Lisbon. He has collaborated in radio and television programs, and has worked in the writing of the magazine Cáritas and the newspapers Expresso (1987-1989), Diário de Lisboa (1989) and Público (1989-2012). He was the first European journalist to receive, twice (1995 and 2006), the John Templeton Prize for Religious Journalist of the Year, awarded by the Conference of European Churches (KEK). He is author of Lives of Deus na terra dos homens (a set of reports in monasteries and convents), of Um papa (in) expected (on the first year of pontificate of Benedict XVI) and Deus vem a public, which today we present Spanish-speaking reader.
