Arantxa Tirado Sánchez is a political scientist, has a PhD in International Relations from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a PhD in Latin American Studies from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She has made her studies compatible with work as a trainee in public administration (and in private companies), librarian, political analyst, union technician, clerk, waitress or shoe seller. In the last twelve years she has resided in Mexico, Venezuela and has carried out research stays in Cuba. Co-authored with Ricardo Romero Laullón, Nega, of The working class does not go to paradise. Chronicle of a forced disappearance (Akal, 2016) and a chapter in the collective work The working class. Subject to change in the 20th century? (2018), is currently an associate professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, a researcher at CELAC and a collaborator of the radio program Julia en la Onda de Onda Cero.
