Augusto Cury

Augusto Cury is a psychiatrist, researcher and writer. He has developed the Theory of Multifocal Intelligence (TIM), which studies the complex process of constructing thoughts, the formation of the Self as a psychic manager and the roles of memory. His innovative ideas have been adapted as postgraduate courses at universities in Brazil. He is the founder of the Academia de Inteligencia de São Paulo, an academic center specialized in socio-emotional education, with more than 330 thousand students. His books have been published in more than 70 countries, he has sold more than 35 million copies, just in his native Brazil and he is considered the most widely read Brazilian author today.
