Axel Rivas. Director of the School of Education at the University of San Andrés, where he is also a professor and researcher. Academic Director of the San Andrés Center for Applied Research in Education (CIAESA). Principal Advisor of the Regional Office of Education for Latin America and the Caribbean (OREALC/UNESCO). President of the National Council for Education Quality. Doctor in Social Sciences, UBA, Argentina. Master in Social Sciences and Education, FLACSO, Argentina. Graduate in Communication Sciences from the UBA. He undertook doctoral studies at the Institute of Education, University of London. He is the author of fifteen books on educational policy topics, including: Examining Educational Policy in Latin America: Comprehensive Insights into Contemporary Reform (Routledge, in press), The keys to education: a comparative study on the improvement of subnational educational systems in Latin America (Santillana, 2020) and Who controls the future of education? (21st Century, 2019). He is editor for South America of the journal Education Policy Analysis Archives. He won the Konex Education Category Award for the period 2006-2016.
