Bernard Sesboüé (1929-2021). French theologian, Jesuit, author of important theological works with a focus on patristic and Christological research. He is recognized for reflecting in his work an ecumenical commitment and an update of the faith and ministries in the Church. He is a specialist in History and interpretation of dogmas. He was a member of the International Theological Commission and the Dombes group, of which he was also its co-president from 1967 to 2005. In addition, he participated as a consultant to the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity. He served as professor of fundamental and dogmatic theology at Fourvière and at the Center Sèvres.
