Boria Sax (White Plains, New York, 1949), a writer and professor at Mercy College, teaches at Sing Sing Prison in upstate New York and at the University of Illinois at Springfield. He is the author of numerous works, many of them focused on the relationship between humans and animals. He has worked as a human rights consultant at Amnesty International, Helsinki Watch and Human Rights on the Internet.
