Carles Ramió is Professor of Political Science and Administration at the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). He is the author of 23 books and more than 200 articles on public institutions (State reform, public management, public management, outsourcing, participation, the fight against corruption and human resource management). He has been director of the School of Public Administration of Catalonia, president of Ivàlua (Consortium for the Evaluation of Public Policies), dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences and vice-rector, on four occasions, of UPF. In Los Libros de la Catarata, he has published A Manual for Troubled University Professors (2014) and The Odd Couple: The Stormy Relationship Between Politicians and Officials (2015) and The Renewal of Public Service (2016).
