He is an associate professor at the Institute of Social and Political Studies of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (IESP-UERJ). He is also a senior research associate at the National Council for Scientific Development (CNPQ), the State Research Foundation of Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ) and the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI)
