Carmen Membrilla Olea

Born in Guadix (Granada) in 1969. She has a degree in Hispanic Philology from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of Granada. She works as a teacher of Spanish Language and Literature at the IES «Padre Poveda» of Guadix. In April 2012, the poetic anthology Four attempts to approach lies, in which he publishes fourteen poems. He regularly collaborates in the newspaper Wadi-as and maintains an intense activity on Facebook where, in addition to his personal page, he administers The Poets' Club, a literary page dedicated to poetic expression.

In October 2013, the Guadix Library organizes the First Local Theme Poetry Previews Contest, obtaining the first prize for its audiovisual Guadix and Poetry, video available on Youtube. In March 2014, he participated with the accordian photographer Ramón Sánchez Reyes (Pícaro Digit) in the Guadix photo exhibition, Azul y Oro, complementing the photographs with texts written in poetic prose.

Some of his texts have been selected to be part of different anthologies. She has participated in the international poetry anthology Mujeres y sus pens, a digital book in support of the fight against breast cancer. In June 2014, she launched her digital diary, Diario de Ausencias, independently on social networks.

In August 2014, she founds, directs and edits, along with the Argentine writer Cecilia Ortiz, the digital and literary magazine Gealittera. Write regularly on his blog The burner of essences.
