Carmen Pardo holds a PhD in philosophy from the University of Barcelona and has been a resident postdoctoral researcher at IRCAM -CNRS unit in Paris. He has given numerous courses and seminars in various national and international universities. He took charge of the translation and publication of the writings of John Cage and is the author of several books on this composer . Currently going research on contemporary art and technologies , and is an authority in relation to the work and reflection of John Cage. He has also published several texts about Stockhausen , Ligeti, Xenakis and the relationship between music and philosophy in Plato, Descartes , Nietzsche and Deleuze.
