Chang Kang-Myung

Chang Kang-Myung (1975) is one of the new talents in Korean literature today. His works have become authentic bestsellers acclaimed by critics and the public, something very unusual in his country. He practiced journalism for 11 years, where thanks to his articles and reports on Korean society and his brutally honest descriptions of human nature, he won numerous awards and recognitions. He has published eight novels, a collection of short stories and a collection of essays for which he has also received several awards such as the Jeju 4 • 3 Peace Price for Comment Corps (2015), the Munhakdongne Writer Award for Crescent Moon (2015) and the Hankyoreh Literary Award for Bleached (2011).
