Maria François Charles Fourier (Besancon, April 7, 1772 - Paris, 10 October 1837) it was a French socialist of the first half of the nineteenth century and one of the founders of the cooperative. Charles Fourier was a scathing critic of the economy and capitalism of his time, while he was an adversary of industrialization, urban civilization, liberalism and the family based on marriage and monogamy.
