She was born in Rome in 1969. She is a Historian. He conducted research in Italy and France in the field of social and religious history of the Middle Ages. Among his most important books are Santità e propaganda (1999), Corona di Cristo, Corona di re (2004) and La Vera Croce. Storia e leggenda dal Golgota a Roma (2016). In 2012 he received the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres award, in France. Currently he collaborates in the magazine "Medioevo".
