Claudia Salazar Jiménez (Peru, July 5, 1976) is a writer, cultural manager and winner of the 2014 Las Américas Award for her first novel La sangre de la aurora, recognition granted to the best novel written in Spanish during 2013. Part of his work has been translated into English, French, Italian and German. She currently resides in New York City and has published a book of short stories entitled Temporal Coordinates (2016) and the youth historical novel 1814, year of Independence (Arsam, 2017).
