Cristina Campo was the name with which Vittoria Guerrini (Bologna, 1923-Rome, 1977) signed her books, which have been published in the Adelphi publishing house. Her work brings together poetry and essays, and she is currently considered one of the most outstanding writers of 20th century Italian literature. She "she has written little and she would have liked to write less", this is how it was presented in the biographical note of one of her books.
