Daniel Paul Tammet (London, January 31, 1979) is a British young man considered a prodigy for his ease in developing complex mathematical calculations as well as for learning different languages. He was born into a middle-class family with his eight brothers. In his memoirs, Born on a Blue Day, he talks about how epilepsy, synesthesia and Asperger's syndrome accompanied him throughout his childhood.
