David B. (Nimes, February 9, 1959) is a French cartoonist, whose real name is David Beauchard, he is one of the most important French cartoonists today.
In 1990, together with other French illustrators, he founded the independent publisher L'Association. He is the author, among other works, of Epileptic (The Ascension of the Great Evil) (1996-2003), which received several nominations at the Angouleme Comic Festival, and which, for many critics, is the most important work of French comics of the 90s. Recently the dreams of the night (1999-2002) have been translated into Castilian.
