David L. McMahan. He is an associate professor of religious studies at Franklin & Marshal College in Pennsylvania. He is the author of Emty Vision: Metaphor and Visionary Image in Mahayana Buddhism, of numerous articles on Buddhism in Southeast Asia and also about Buddhism and modernity.
