He was born in La Plata, in 1980. He is a doctor in Social History from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and professor of Contemporary History at PUC-Rio, Brazil. He was a visiting professor at the University of Paris-1, Sorbonne. Her research focuses on the sociocultural history of the police and crime in Latin America. He is the author of Writers, detectives and archivists. Police culture in Buenos Aires, 1821-1910 (2009). The Portuguese version of this book (Criminosos Traveling, 2016) received the Research Award from the National Archive of Brazil.
