Dolors Bramon (Banyoles, 1943) is a doctor in Semitic philology and medieval history and emeritus professor of Arabic and Islamic studies at the University of Barcelona. She is a member emeritus of the Institute of Catalan Studies and a professor at the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences of Barcelona. She works in the fields of religious minorities and the Islamic past of the Catalan-speaking lands from the historical and philological point of view. She is the author, among other works, of An Introduction to Islam. Religion, history and culture (2002), Being a woman and a Muslim (2009), Around Islam and Muslim women (2010), Political Islam (2017) and The Koran. A quick dive (2018). She has also written extensively on Arab and Islamic issues in the media. In Fragmenta she has published Islam today. Some controversial aspects (2019).
