Dr. Cuevas-Yañez is a Chemistry graduate from the Faculty of Chemistry of the UAEMex (1997) and Doctor of Science from the UNAM in the area of Organic Chemistry (2004). He completed a postdoctoral stay at the University of Regensburg, Germany, under the supervision of Prof. Oliver Reiser (2005-2006). He has been a subject professor at the UNAM (2000-2005) and a full-time professor at the UAEM since 2007. Since March 2008 he has worked as a researcher at the UAEM-UNAM Joint Center for Research in Sustainable Chemistry. He is currently a member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) level 2, and has published 42 articles in international journals; He has graduated two Ph.D., 7 Master's and 25 Bachelor's degree students.
