Erik Olin Wright is Vilas Distinguished Professor of Sociology at the University of Wisconsin. Author of many books, including Class, crisis and State (21st Century of Spain, 1983) and Classes (21st Century of Spain, 1994), also directs Real Utopias, a project initiated in 1991 that explores a wide range of proposals and models for a radical social change.
