Erika Martínez

Erika Martínez (Jaén, 1979) is a Spanish poet living in Granada. She has a doctorate in Hispanic Philology and a degree in Theory of Literature from the University of Granada.

Her first book of poems, Color carne (Ed. Pre-Textos, 2009), was awarded the Spanish National Radio Young Poetry Prize. Her second book of poems, El False Ceiling (Pre-Textos, 2013), was a finalist for the Quimera Prize and was selected among the five best poems of the year by critics of El Cultural. He has also published the collection of aphorisms Lenguaraz (Ed. Pre-Textos, 2011). Her latest book of poems is entitled Chocar con algo (Ed. Pre-Textos, 2017) was among the six finalists for the II Meléndez Valdés National Poetry Prize.
