Estrella de Diego (Madrid, 1958) is a writer, university professor of art and Spanish researcher.
He is Professor of Contemporary Art at the Complutense University of Madrid and has held the chair of King Juan Carlos I of Spain Spanish Culture and Civilization at the University of New York (1998-99). Her research focuses on gender theory, postcolonial studies and the Origins of Modernity. She is the author, among others, the following books: "Women and painting in nineteenth century Spain", "The androgynous sexed", "Eternal ideals, new gender strategies", "sad Warhol" and the book of fiction "philosopher and other stories without characters." In April 2011, the Council of Ministers of Spain awarded him the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts.
