(Elbasan, Central Albania, 1944) A mathematician by training, he worked as a literary journalist and editorial editor. After the fall of the communist regime, his literary work began to be published, which was widely recognized both at home and abroad. Currently, he resides in Tirana. He considered by international critics as the successor of Kadaré.
