Fernando San Basilio (Madrid, 1970) studied Hispanic Philology at the Autonomous University of Madrid and Journalism at the School of Journalism of El País. In 2006 he published a bookstore course at the publishing house Caballo de Troya ("a witty and funny book, with humor and nonsense as masters of ceremonies", Babelia), and in 2010 his second novel, entitled Mi gran novela sobre La Vaguada (Horse of Troy) («San Basilio is a teacher of the deliberately minor phrase, in which the joke coexists with the bitterness without making it more digestible», Carlos Pardo, Público). In 2012 he published in Impedimenta a sort of closing to that trilogy: The young salesman and the fluid lifestyle. Besides in Madrid, he has lived in Palma de Mallorca and in Seville. He has worked as a journalist, has corrected literary texts, has taught Spanish for foreigners and has been a bookseller.
