Florence Delay

Florence Delay (Paris, 1941), writer and translator, has also worked as an actress and screenwriter. Member of the French Academy (she is the fourth woman in its history) and professor of comparative literature at the Sorbonne University, she published her first novel, Minuit sur les jeux, in 1973. Among other distinctions, she won the Femina prize in 1983 and the 1999 French Academy Essay Award for Called Nerval, published in Spanish by Turner.
