Gabriele Nissim (Milan, 1950) is an Italian journalist, essayist and historian and has always dealt with the cultural and political reality of Eastern Europe. In 1982 he founded the magazine L'Ottavo Giorno. He has made documentaries on the clandestine opposition to communism, on the problems of post-communism and on the situation of the Jews in the East.
