Gary Lachman

Gary Lachman is a writer and musician. Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, in 1955, and since 1996 lives in London. Between 1975 and 1977 he was bassist, songwriter and founder member of the group Blondie, in 1981 guitarist and Iggy Pop. He currently writes and works for The Guardian, Mojo and Times Literary Supplement. He is the author of A Secret History of Consciousness (2003), forthcoming in Atalanta, In Search of Ouspensky: The Genius in the Shadow of Gurdjieff (2004), A Dark Muse: A History of the Occult (2005), Politics and the Occult: The Left, the Right, and the Radically Unseen (2008) and Jung The Mystic (2010), among other works, as well as numerous articles.
