Geoffrey Parker is a professor of History of the Andreas Dorpalen chair at the University of the State of Ohio. He has written or directed more than thirty books, including the Army of Flanders and the Spanish Way, 1567 1659; Success is never definitive; Spain and the rebellion of Flanders; Spain and the Netherlands, 1559-1659; Europe in crisis (1598-1648); Felipe II; The great strategy of Felipe II; and the military revolution. Military innovation and heyday of the West, 1500 1800. Among the joint works of it are the Great Armada, 1588 (with C. Martin); The thirty-year war (Ed.) And the crisis of the monarchy of Felipe IV (et al.).
