Georges Chevrot (Paris, 1879 - 1958), was ordained priest in 1903. He was a missionary of the diocese of Paris, then pastor of Saint-François-Xavier from 1930 to 1958. He was appointed honorary canon in 1933 and prelate of His Holiness in 1939. During the occupation as resistant enlisted in the National Front for independence from France. He was elected to the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences in 1947.
