Guillem Feixas Viaplana is Professor of the School of Psychology at the University of Barcelona (UB). He graduated from the university in 1984 and won a scholarship from the Ministry of Education and Science for a doctorate with a thesis entitled "Anàlisi of construccions personals in psychological texts significació" (1988) directed by Dr. Manuel Villegas Besora. In this period he conducted clinical training in existential psychotherapy and systemic family therapy (Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau). In 1987 he won the "Young Investigator Award" awarded by the Institute for Personal Construct Psychology. In 1988-89 course he made a postdoctoral stay at Memphis State University (now University of Memphis) in collaboration with Dr. Robert Neimeyer. With another ministerial scholarship rejoined the Department of Personality, Evaluation and Psychological Treatment of the University of Barcelona where he obtained the square of Professor in 1992 and Professor in 2011.
