Guillermo Rosales

Guillermo Rosales (Havana, Cuba; 1946 - Miami, United States; 1993) was a Cuban writer. After a double exile, fleeing first from the Batista dictatorship and then from Castro's, Rosales writes about the indifference that exists in American society about the disappointments of Cuban immigrants settled in Florida, the "Cuban-Americans", who fail in realize the "American dream". Rosales became one of the most important Cuban writers of the second half of the 20th century, along with Carlos Montenegro or Reinaldo Arenas. He commits suicide in 1993.
