Guy Debord (December 28, 1931 - November 30, 1994) Full name Guy Ernest Debord, was a revolutionary, philosopher, writer and filmmaker French. He considered himself primarily as an estratega1. It was he who conceptualized the socio-political notion of "spectacle", developed in his most famous work, The Society of the Spectacle (1967). Debord was one of the founders of the International Lyricist (1952-1957) and the Situacionista2 International (1957-1972). He led the French magazine with the Situationist International.
