Serbat Guy (Fox 1918 - Saint Maur Des Fosses 2001) was a famous and active latinista French. In 1939 he earned a degree in literature at the University of Bordeaux, which was added Grammar teacher. In 1934 he joined the French Communist Party, under the occupation of France during World War II, was a leading member of the Resistance. After the war was increasingly specializing in Latin language and literature. He combined teaching (he taught at the Sorbonne University) with writing, publishing the magazine L'information grammaticale and careful editing of linguistic and literary texts. Among his works include Les Structures du latin, volume set fondamentale Grammaire du latin or cases and functions, the latter published by the Gredos Publishing.
