HANS JÜRGEN BURCHARDT. He is the director of the María Sibylla Marian Center for Advanced Latin American Studies (CALAS) and the Center for Latin American Studies (CELA) of the University of Kassel, where he is a full professor of the International Relations department. He has published extensively on North-South relations, ecological, labor and social policy regimes from an international perspective, on development theories and development policies, with a special focus on Latin America and the Caribbean.
