Hartmut Rosa (Lörrach, Germany, 1965) is a tenured professor of Sociology at the Friedrich Schiller Universität-Jena, Germany, and a visiting professor at the New School of Social Research, New York. His lines of research fall within the field of identity formation, the sociology of time and Critical Theory He is co-editor of Time and Society magazine and co-director of the International Conference on Philosophy and Social Sciences, which is held in Prague.
Alienation and Acceleration, released in 2010, has already been released in English, German and French. In 2012 he published a new work devoted to analyzing, from a critical perspective, world relations in the age of acceleration.
